Attention all Coopersville Area Arts Council members, poetry writers, and readers!  The Coopersville Area Arts Council is holding its annual Membership meeting on Saturday, March 14th, at the Coopersville Community Services Building, in conjunction with their first-ever Poetry Reading event.  Along with the usual membership drive and election of CAAC board members, anyone who has written a poem is invited to share what they have written or read their favorite poem.  The event will take place beginning with the membership meeting at 4:00 p.m.  The cost for the event is $5.00 for CAAC members and students, and $10.00 for all other audience members.  There is no charge for all poetry reading participants.  There is a 5-minute limit on the readings, and we ask that the readings be family-friendly.

To sign up for this event, go to the website at www.coopersvillearts.org, to the Coopersville Area Arts Council Facebook page, or find the QR code on flyers that are available around the Coopersville area.  There will be a Google Form to fill out to register to be a participant in the event.  Audience members are also encouraged to come and enjoy the event and support your favorite local poet(s)!

The event is being held in conjunction with the Third Coast Book Festival and will be MC’d by Michigan Poet Joseph Neely, who will also be sharing some of his works. In addition to the poetry, the Coopersville Area Arts Council will be providing a light meal, as well as Door Prizes and a Raffle. We hope to see you share your talents and/or enjoy the works of others.  This is a great opportunity to showcase some of our local literary talent!
